What is LED?

Led is the short term of Light Emitting Diode. Previously led is used only in electronic devices and equipment as indicator. Because of low-energy consumption the idea of many manufactures develop a high power light emitting diode (LED). Currently, a new technology coming onto the marketplace, high power led assembled as replacement of the traditional lights, like incandescent bulb, fluorescent and CFL.

LED consumes less power than the traditional lights. Example, A 60watts incandescent bulb are the same light output with 3watts high power LED.

If we compute to get the kilowatt-hour,

60 watts / 1000 = 0.06kilowatt-hour X 6hours used = 0.36kilowatt-hour X 31 days = 11.16kilowatt-hour per month X cost of electricity = due amount in your electric bill

10 watts / 1000 = 0.01kilowatt-hour X 6hours used = 0.06kilowatt-hour X 31 days = 1.86kilowatt-hour per month X cost of electricity = due amount in your electric bill

In one month, a 9.3kilowatt-hour saving is enough to save your money from paying a high cost bill from your electric provider.
